What Does Covered RV Storage Cost in Vero Beach?
Updated: Sep 21
If you own an RV in Vero Beach, covered storage can help protect your investment from Florida's intense sun, rain, humidity, and storm season. To understand the local market, we reviewed more than 50 facilities offering RV, boat, vehicle, and parking storage within roughly 20 miles of Vero Beach.
Update: Since our original review, a new CubeSmart location has opened on 19th Lane offering covered RV and boat parking — bringing the total number of facilities offering covered RV storage in the area to five.
Average Covered RV Storage Cost in Vero Beach
Covered RV storage rates vary considerably based on vehicle size, location, and amenities. Rates below reflect 12-month trailing average rental rates collected in July 2026, except where noted.
Among the facilities we identified offering covered RV parking:
CubeSmart Self Storage (901 20th St, Vero Beach) offered the lowest rates for smaller and mid-size spaces, with average monthly rents of approximately $139 for smaller spaces, $200 for medium spaces, and $358 for larger spaces.
Extra Space Storage (Fort Pierce) averaged approximately $269 per month for large covered RV parking.
Spacebox Storage (Vero Beach) averaged approximately $318 per month for extra-large covered parking spaces.
Condev RV & Boat Storage (Vero Beach) had some of the highest rates in the market, averaging approximately $247 for medium spaces, $375 for large spaces, and $425 for extra-large spaces.
CubeSmart Self Storage (9425 19th Lane, Vero Beach) — newly opened, offers a single 40-ft covered parking option at approximately $176 per month. This is a current promotional online rate rather than a 12-month trailing average like the figures above, so treat it as directionally comparable rather than exactly apples-to-apples — but even accounting for that, it's a notable price point for a space rated for Class A RVs, boats, and trailers, undercutting every other large or extra-large covered option in this review by a wide margin.
Overall, covered RV storage in the Vero Beach area ranges from approximately $139 to $425 per month, with larger spaces and RV-specific facilities generally commanding higher rents — though the new 19th Lane location is a clear exception at the large end.
Why Covered RV Storage Matters in Florida
Covered storage protects against:
UV damage to paint, decals, and rubber seals
Heavy summer rain
Tree debris
Mold and mildew growth
Premature roof deterioration
While uncovered storage is often less expensive, many RV owners find covered parking helps reduce long-term maintenance costs.
Ranking the Best Covered RV Storage Options Near Vero Beach
1. CubeSmart Self Storage (Downtown) - Best Overall Covered RV Storage
CubeSmart Self Storage Address: 901 20th St, Vero Beach, FL 32960, United States Phone: +1 772-205-6091
Located in downtown Vero Beach, CubeSmart offers covered RV and boat parking combined with traditional climate-controlled storage units. The facility is unique because RV owners can also store boating gear, tools, furniture, and household items in the same location.

2. CubeSmart Self Storage (19th Lane) - Best Value for Large RVs, Boats & Trailers
CubeSmart Self Storage Address: 9425 19th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32966, United States New customers: (844) 427-1409 | Current customers: (772) 202-3192
CubeSmart's newest Vero Beach location adds a large-vehicle covered parking option to the local market at a price that stands out. The 40-ft covered space is rated for Class A RVs, boats, and trailers, and at approximately $176/month it undercuts every other large or extra-large covered option reviewed here — in some cases by $200 a month or more.
What we like:
Lowest large-vehicle covered parking rate in the market by a wide margin
Climate-controlled indoor units also available onsite, in a full range of sizes
Newly built facility
Month-to-month leasing
One caveat: as a new location, it doesn't yet have the review history or track record the other facilities in this list have built up. If pricing is your top priority for a large RV or boat, it's worth a call — but worth weighing against the newer, less-proven operation.
3. Condev RV and Boat Storage - Best Premium RV Facility
Condev RV and Boat Storage @ Vero Beach Address: 5300 85th St, Vero Beach, FL 32967, United States Phone: +1 772-774-7976
Condev is purpose-built for RV and boat storage rather than traditional self-storage. The property includes both covered and uncovered parking and was specifically designed around large recreational vehicles.
Highlights include:
Covered and uncovered spaces
Wash-down station
RV dumping facilities
On-site management
245 total parking spaces
Large vehicle access and maneuvering room
Condev's rates are among the highest in the market, but it offers the most RV-specific amenities of any facility reviewed.
4. Spacebox Storage Vero Beach - Best for Large RVs and Trailers (Established Option)
Spacebox Storage Vero Beach Address: 5755 US-1, Vero Beach, FL 32967, United States Phone: +1 772-257-6195
Spacebox combines climate-controlled self-storage with covered RV and boat parking at its US-1 location.
Notable features:
Covered and uncovered parking
Climate-controlled storage units onsite
Month-to-month leases
Convenient US-1 location
Spaces capable of accommodating larger RVs and trailers
If you need both vehicle storage and traditional self-storage in one place, Spacebox is worth considering.
5. Extra Space Storage (Fort Pierce) - Best South of Vero Beach
Although located in Fort Pierce rather than Vero Beach, Extra Space is one of the few operators in the area offering covered outdoor RV storage.
Advantages:
National operator
Multiple size options
Covered and uncovered parking
Additional storage unit options
Its distance from Vero Beach keeps it from ranking higher for local owners.
Covered vs Uncovered RV Storage
For occasional RV users, uncovered parking may be sufficient.
However, covered storage becomes increasingly valuable if:
Your RV remains parked for months at a time
You own a newer motorhome
You have expensive graphics, seals, or roof systems
You plan to keep the vehicle for many years
In Florida's climate, protection from sun exposure is often the biggest benefit.
Final Thoughts
After reviewing more than 50 RV and boat storage providers within 20 miles of Vero Beach, we identified five facilities currently offering covered RV parking — up from four at the time of our original review.
For most owners wanting a full range of sizes and an established track record, the downtown CubeSmart location remains the strongest all-around pick. Owners specifically storing a Class A RV, larger boat, or trailer should also get a quote from CubeSmart's new 19th Lane location, where large-vehicle covered parking currently undercuts the rest of the market significantly. Owners looking for a dedicated RV-focused facility may prefer Condev, while Spacebox offers an attractive combination of vehicle storage and climate-controlled self-storage.
Regardless of which facility you choose, covered storage can help extend the life of your RV and reduce exposure to Florida's harsh weather conditions.
